The Ulkaa Edu Rank 2027 places Varendra University in the 41-50 band. The position is computed from the published methodology. In the QS Asia University Rankings 2026 it sits in the 1401-1500 band. The THE World University Rankings 2027 lists it as a Reporter institution. UGC figures record 5,864 students (2023) and 262 teachers, 59 of them with a PhD (2023).

The Ulkaa Edu Rank draws on indicators such as first-year intake, research output and citations per work, the share of teachers with a PhD, students per teacher and recognition in QS and THE tables. Each indicator has a published weight and a stated data year, so a band is a summary of public data and not a verdict on any one programme.

The university was founded by Hafizur Rahman Khan in 2012. Wikipedia lists four schools and 13 departments.
